SMART Edge Single Country

This is the service combined by default with the purchase of the Trackting SMART Italy (Single Country) device.

  1. Service Description.

The User receives notification of the movement of the vehicle by a third party who is not in possession of the key fob TAG. When the Tracker registers an unauthorised movement, the App enters an “alarm” status and, by means of a push notification and/or telephone call, alerts the user of the unauthorised movement of the vehicle.
When the App enters an ‘alarm’ state, the user can track the vehicle’s movements. The geolocation system will send GPS coordinates at regular intervals, allowing the user to know the route taken by the vehicle, making it easier to find it.
The alarm status ceases when it is deactivated only by approaching the key-ring TAG.

  1. Service features:

The service includes No. 5 monthly warning phone calls to the user in case of improper movement of their vehicle. If no answer or automatic voicemail click occurs, alert calls are unlimited. Push notifications are always unlimited. There is no charge for the service. The service has geographic coverage in the country chosen by the User during initial pairing. If the device has not sent any telemetry in the last 24 months, the internal eSIM will be deactivated and cannot be reactivated.

  1. Specific conditions of use of the service

The operation of the service is guaranteed by the use of an integrated multi-operator eSIM contained within the GPS Tracker and which allows the Tracker to connect to the Internet. The Tracker connects to the 2G (GSM) cellular network. The SIM/eSIM connectivity service is provided by third parties. Please note that according to the terms of service of the connectivity service provider, if the eSIM does not send or receive data for a continuous period of at least 18 months, the SIM/eSIM itself may be deactivated without notice. Please contact us for more information.

In addition to what is specified in the device’s user manual and the app’s User License, Trackting is committed to ensuring service delivery except in cases beyond its control. In particular, it may be impossible to provide the service in cases where the telephone operator providing the eSIMs and connectivity for the device goes out of business or divests itself, or changes roaming arrangements in the country chosen by the User. In addition, it will be impossible to provide the service in cases where the technology used by the cellular network to which the eSIM contained in the device hooks up (2G network) is discontinued.

  1. Misuse

The service is intended for “anti-theft” use only: the tracker does not track the owner while driving, but only tracks the thief in case of an alarm. Trackting wants to ensure that the service is used solely for this purpose and in a lawful manner, with full respect for the security and privacy of the User and third parties. Therefore, misuse of the device could result in termination of the service. Trackting considers “improper” use of the system to be use that results in the device switching to “alarm” mode for a total monthly time of more than 10 hours.

The alarm status ends when the owner opens the app and sets the lock back to ‘Open’ mode.
