How to replace the Tag battery (SMART V3)

If you have SMART V.3 (with tags as in the picture), follow these few simple steps

 

  • remove the rubber key ring to extract the opaque plastic button
  • on the back of the opaque plastic button, unscrew the opening cap in a clockwise direction (it has a cut-out invitation: you can help with a coin)
  • remove the old battery from its holder, paying attention to the direction in which the faces with the two poles were positioned
  • insert the new battery, always checking that the poles are in the correct direction and removing any protective film
  • refit the opening cap by screwing it counterclockwise
  • now reapply the rubber ring

CAUTION: Some CR2032 type batteries have a transparent film to isolate the charge and prevent leakage. If this film is present in the new batteries to be replaced in the Tag, it must be removed before fitting the batteries inside the Tag.
