Activate your SMART V3
To start Trackting SMART V3 you need only a few minutes. Installation is simple and fast
Inside the package you will find:
- GPS Tracker
- Tag (keyholder)
(already equipped with a battery and already associated with the Tracker and ready to use: you don’t have to do anything) - USB-C charging cable
- personal card with QR Code (unique code of your Tracker)
- double-sided adhesive tape and clamps for fixing
- spare USB-C port protection grommet

Attention: this activation procedure refers to the new model of Trackting SMART V3.

Launch the app and sign up. You’ll receive an email with a link to activate your account.
Launch the app, click on Register and follow the instructions you see on the screen. Your account will only be active once you have confirmed it via the link you will receive by email.
If you already own another Trackting SMART, however, you can use the app with the same credentials: in this case, just add the new device (under Vehicles in the menu).
Click on Add device and frame the QR code from the App, which is printed on the personal card provided in the package.
- The USB-C charging port is located on the side of the Tracker. Use only the USB cable provided. You can connect it to your mobile phone charger, powerbank or PC.
- Leave the tracker on charge until the LED turns green.
To carry out the first localisation, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the USB cable from SMART V3 and wait for the LED to stop flashing.
- Take the Tag (red key fob) out of the package: it is already paired with your Tracker, is active and has a battery installed inside.
- Go outdoors with your vehicle and, while holding the Tag, place the Tracker with the top (opposite the Tag) facing upwards.
- Now leave the Tracker on the stationary vehicle and move away with the Tag at least 30 metres.
- Within 5 minutes, you will receive a notification on the App where you can see the location on the map. You have completed the procedure: your device is now active!
In the event of theft, Trackting will call you to warn you. It is therefore essential to correctly enter and verify your telephone number.
- Open the Trackting App and go to the Account section and enter your phone number by selecting the correct country code (e.g. +39 Italy).
- A new screen will open where you will need to enter the 4-digit PIN code that you will receive via SMS within 5 minutes.
- Immediately save the following alarm numbers +1 830 444 4666; +39 0721 176 0423; +31 970 102 40666; +44 7418 372710 as “Trackting Alarm” in your address book and set them as favorites so they ring even when you have activated the “Do Not Disturb” mode. It is an automatic system: it is not enabled to receive calls. Do not call it, there is no operator!
- When you receive the alarm call, you must reject it with the red button on your phone. If you answer or the answering machine is activated, you will have a maximum of 5 calls per month (notifications are still unlimited).
The Tracker is now ready to be placed on your vehicle: move it, also taking the Tag with you (otherwise it will go into alarm).
Place the Tracker in the vehicle using the supplied double-sided adhesive tape or using the appropriate Smart Clip bracket (optional, available for purchase separately), which is recommended for use on motorcycles. On cars, vans or campers you can also simply place it under the seat or in the glove compartment.
The important thing is that the side with the label faces downwards to allow correct reception of GPS satellites.
It should not be placed near heavy metal masses (e.g. the engine block) or near heat sources.
Trackting SMART is waterproof, but it is advisable to install it so that it is not immersed or that it is protected from direct contact with liquids.

ATTENTION: FOR TRACKTING SMART V2 and V3 ONLY (with round Tags)
If you have purchased an extra Tag separately, in addition to the one already included in the Trackting SMART package (which is already paired and ready to use), the new additional Tag must be associated with the Tracker. To do this, follow these simple instructions described here:
